Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street‘s Kelly Neelan goes out for revenge against Gary Windass in these first-look spoiler pictures.
Upcoming episodes see Kelly plan payback after finally discovering that Gary was responsible for the death of her father Rick.
In tense scenes, Gary initially remains unaware of Kelly’s discovery as he attends her engagement party at the Bistro.
Gary shares some heartfelt words about Kelly and how much he loves having her as part of his family.
Speaking privately, Kelly warns Gary that she knows he murdered her dad, then runs out of the Bistro.
Gary chases after Kelly and hopes to explain himself, but he finds her standing with Rick’s ex-client Kieron.
Kieron and his criminal associates overpower Gary by knocking him unconscious and throwing him into a van.
Kelly has offered Kieron £10,000 to kill Gary. After handing over a deposit, Kelly promises to give him the rest of the money once Gary is dead.
As the van speeds away, Kelly wrestles with second thoughts as she struggles with the harsh reality of what she has done.
Kieron and his sidekick Al end up leading Gary through some woods to the exact place where he killed Rick in 2019.
The pair point a gun at Gary and order him to dig his own grave. How will Gary get out of this mess?
Millie Gibson, who plays Kelly, recently told Digital Spy and other press: “I think all the good morals Kelly has gained over the years are completely wiped from her memory and all she can think about is her dad, his morals and the ways he acted and dealt with situations. You see him take over her personality.
“I’m excited to see how it comes across, because it’s like Kelly Neelan is a proper Neelan in this storyline – she’s not the new Kelly that she’s found herself to be. She really starts to change in the period after she finds out about her dad.”
She added: “I think the truth about Rick’s death was always going to have to come out. You can’t live with your dad’s murderer for such an amount of time without it coming out at some point. I definitely expected it, it’s just the way that it happened I didn’t expect.
“It’s really well written and I was excited to get the scripts through. I think seeing the build-up and the tension – and the dynamic between me and Mikey North – it’s going to look very powerful, I think. I hope!”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
